The successful adoption of Cloud technology will become critical to the longevity of many businesses. The Cloud is the foundation of a digital revolution that is enabling innovators to bring highly disruptive business models to market that can "kill" the encumbents who fail to embrace this technology.

Yet adopting the Cloud is perceived as a risky endeavour. Risk management strategies require multiple layers of protection that limit the pathways that could result in a data loss or breach.

This process, more affectionately knows as the "Swiss Cheese Model" is endjin's preferred approach to risk analysis, allowing us to map out undesired outcomes and threats to the business's operations, and identifying the key controls to mitigate them - in people, process and technology.

It was created in conjunction with one of our customers in order to help them navigate the complexities around cloud migration within the heavily regulated financial services industry, in a way that built confidence with both internal and external stakeholders.

The Process

We will run a workshop with your team and stakeholders to introduce the Swiss Cheese model and brainstorm initial undesired outcomes.

We will work with your team to help you to identify elements of people, process, and technical/physical barriers in the architecture. We'll provide recommendations for improvement where necessary, based on our experience of working with some of the largest companies in the world to create security models and data privacy architectures for Microsoft Azure.
